16-year-old gets schooled on airplane etiquette by fellow passengers: 'Perfectly deserved revenge'

At 16, there is so much you still don't know about the world. At the time, you feel like you're basically a grown-up, begging your parents to treat you like one and trying to act like a cool guy in front of your friends. You think you know everything at the age of 16, but in reality, you're still clueless about almost everything outside of your small bubble of school, friends and family. 

Flying at the airport can be confusing for anyone, especially a teenager. You have to carry only a certain amount of liquids in specific bottles, you have to arrive a few hours early, and you have to wander the airport trying to find the correct gate. But this kid was also unaware of the more specific rules around air travel. Like when the snack cart is rolling down the aisle, you can't get up to use the bathroom or stretch your legs, because you're blocked in. No one really tells you that rule, you just have to learn it in real time. At least when this teen made a mistake, a group of adults played a lighthearted prank on them to lock in the memory of what they did wrong. 

Next, read about the law partners who kept pushing the lawyers to rush through cases, leading the lawyers to maliciously comply: "Partners thought it should take me about 15-20 minutes... it would take me at least 1.5 hours."

    As a few people noted, these locks weigh almost nothing, so it's no wonder this teen didn't notice them right away

    WeirdF OP I don't know. I think it was the constant jostling around by the people around me, maybe the fact that it was midnight and I was exhausted, but I just didn't. They weren't really that large.

    [deleted] The important thing about this is that you learned. Nobody was hurt by your actions, just a bit upset. When you're in new situations, you fuck up. That's just life. Next time you'll go with the flow a bit better I'm sure.
